Here is a new gallery featuring pictures of many of Vinnie's didgeridoos.  There are also some fine examples of Aboriginal art on many of these instruments.

Vinnie's Didg Gallery

Vince Sanregret
The Stone Merchants Ancestors Collective's first release as SMAC is called Yigi Yigi - another word for the didgeridoo.  The album features Vinnie's didg playing on 10 songs ranging from didg, sticks and a drum to full-on world fusion arrangements, beautifully layered sequenced pieces and the ever spectacular guitar work of Eddie Patterson.

Vince first joined the Stone Merchants as an accompanist on the song, "White Line" from the "have another blue juice, mister," CD.  After a number of performances with the Merchants and the Ancestors, the band members and audiences alike became entranced with the earthy drone only a didgeridoo can bring to the mix.  He has been playing regularly with both bands since the beginning of 2002.

Vinnie has made the journey to Australia - where he acquired many of his prized didgeridoos during a year down under.  His Aboriginal friends took him to the bush.  Vinnie counts among his influences: Stephen Kent (San Francisco worksop 1999); Dr. Didg ( bloody good live performances); and Ganga Giri.

His extensive collection of instruments includes numerous didgeridoos and a variety of traditional percussion instruments.  At the end of any performance, Vince is the most likely to be surrounded by curious audience members.
